Generic Features: The IPX 940 supports 4 SIP lines and delivers HD voice. It is PoE enabled and features a 2.4-inch color screen. The phone offers handset, hands-free, and headset modes. It can be used with a desktop stand or wall-mounted (additional wall-hanging parts needed) and has an optional external power supply.

Phone Functions: This phone includes a local phonebook with 1000 entries and a remote phonebook via XML/LDAP, also with 1000 entries. It can store up to 600 call logs (in/out/missed) and includes a blocked list/allowed list. Other features include a screensaver, voice message waiting indication (VMWI), programmable DSS/softkeys, network time synchronization, and support for Plantronics and Jabra wireless headsets (via specific cables). The phone also supports recording (through server), action URL/active URI, uaCSTA, and a range of voice activity features such as VAD, CNG, BNE, NR, and AGC. It also includes packet loss concealment (PLC), dynamic adaptive jitter buffer, DTMF in-band and out-of-band (RFC2833/SIP INFO), and VQM voice quality monitoring.

Network Features: The IPX 940 features 10/100 Mbps Ethernet with dual bridged ports for PC bypass and supports IPv4/IPv6. It allows IP configuration through static IP, DHCP, or PPPoE and offers network access control via 802.1x. The phone supports VPN (L2TP/OpenVPN), VLAN, LLDP, QoS, RTCP-XR (RFC3611), and VQ-RTCPXR (RFC6035).

Protocols: The phone supports SIP 2.0 over UDP/TCP/TLS, RTP/RTCP/SRTP, STUN, DHCP, IPv6, LLDP, PPPoE, 802.1x, L2TP, OpenVPN, SNTP, FTP/TFTP, HTTP/HTTPS, TR-069, and AES128 & AES256 encryption.

Call Functions: The IPX 940 allows users to call out, answer, and reject calls. It includes mute/unmute for the microphone, call hold/resume, call waiting, intercom, caller ID display, speed dial, anonymous call (hide caller ID), call forwarding (always/busy/no answer), call transfer (attended/unattended), call parking/pick-up (depending on server), redial, do-not-disturb, auto-answering, voice messaging (with server), 6-way conferencing, hotline, and hotdesking.

Audio Features: The phone offers HD voice microphone/speaker with handset and hands-free modes, featuring a frequency response of 0 ~ 7KHz. It includes wideband ADC/DAC 16KHz sampling and supports narrowband codecs (G.711a/u, G.723.1, G.726, G.729A/B, iLBC) and wideband codecs (G.722, Opus). The phone also features full-duplex acoustic echo canceller (AEC) and supports syslog.

Physical Specifications: The IPX 940 has a 2.4-inch (320×240) color screen and a keypad with 36 keys, including 4 soft-keys, 9 function keys (hold, transfer, voice message, conference, phonebook, MWI, headset, redial, hands-free), 3 line keys (with LED indicator light), 4 navigation keys, 1 OK key, 12 standard phone digit keys, and 3 volume control keys (up/down/mute). 

The package includes a handset (RJ9), 1.5M CAT.5E Ethernet cable, and a back rack. It features a status indicator light (red), 2 RJ9 ports (handset, headset), 2 RJ45 ports (network, PC – bridged to network), and a safety keyhole. The phone has a DC power input (DC5V / 0.6A) with power consumption ranging from 1.32 to 2.09W (PoE). It operates within a temperature range of 0 to 45℃ and a humidity range of 10 to 95%. The phone can be installed with a desktop stand or wall-mounted (additional wall hanging parts needed).
